I have a confession. I like order. However, I like order on the top layer. If I can take a pile that's on the counter and stuff it in the closet. Don't look under my cabinets or in the closets - your eyes may never be the same. I'd LOVE one of those shows to come into my house and revamp the whole storage thing. I just wonder what everyone else does with ALL THEIR STUFF!
I know, you are probably saying that you don't HAVE that much STUFF. But really, where does it all go? Let's see...like these things: pots & pans, papers that aren't receipts or bills, books, clothes that kids have outgrown, toys that are broken, pens & pencils, magazines, little things that have no real "place." So many more that I can't think of right now as they are hidden in the closet and out of sight.... *lol*
I like clean lines. I like a counter without clutter. I like my bed made every day. How do I get a handle on the "junk" that slowly creeps into the house? It's so overwhelming to me that I don't even want to waste the time with freecycle or craigslist but end up throwing it in the garbage or loading it up and dropping it off at Goodwill. Of course, a month from now I'll be searching for "that" and can't find it because I thought I wouldn't need it so I gave it away and wow, now I want it.
Am I the only one that has this problem? Or is it that other people have it but it just doesn't bother them? I love "Real Simple" magazine and try to implement storage ideas from there but it seems like I just can't make it STICK! Argh!?!? So, today is my post about my OOD - obesessive organizing disorder. Am I the president, board & only member of this group?

(stands) My name is Shauna and I have OOD! LOL I have all that tiny junk and it has no home. And what's worse is my house has NO storage!
Stacy- I am in full agreement with your post and I have the same difficulties! I've done FLYlady, and am currently reading a book called The Messies Manual. I really deal with clutter and poor organization skills daily. I'd be petrified if I had to post a picture of all the junk around my house right now!
